"Strong ties of love" is a phrase commonly used by people who sell witchcraft services in Guatemala. It is used to cast a spell per say to promote the attraction of someone to a sentimental relationship against their will and then not to let them go. This is a series of 13 paintings made up of a collection of images found on the internet and later modified in order to turn them into ironic, sometimes unpleasant images that allude to human ties, whether they be power, interpersonal, sexual or related to our own nature.
